Multi Directional Conveyors provide movement in all directions in the horizontal plane, perfect for cross-overs and change of direction as well as inspection or manufacturing process stations.
Multi-Directional Conveyors are essential elements in many conveyor systems, taking the form of Universal rollers and ball transfer tables.
The Universal Roller is a revolutionary product with incredible versatility, suitable for everything from stone working to sanitary food manufacturing.

UNIVERSAL ROLLER CONVEYORS: AN EXTRAORDINARY PRODUCT
The unique product design of the Universal Roller allows for straight-line movement in a normal transport operation, with the added benefit of allowing an operator to move the product in any desired direction.
They are useful in situations where a load may need to be rotated at a workstation in an assembly line or where the item needs to be moved from one line to another during the assembly process. They are also well suited for switch points or where a change of direction is required.
This product is popular all over the world in the stone cutting and finishing industry (Marble, Granite, Travertine, Slate etc) as it is not harmed by the dust, grit, or slurry associated with this industry. Designed using stainless steel pins with a polymer body and barrel rollers it is suited to wet environments where wash down is required.
Popular in food manufacturing, stone finishing, laminate handling, and white goods manufacture (TV’s, washing machines, refrigerators etc) the Universal Roller Conveyor also performs well with most parcels, boxes, and other items having regular flat bases.
Product features:
- Unique spherical barrels in POM (Acetal) Or pu (Polyurethane)
- Available in 40, 48, 60 & 80 MM diameters
- Either round internal bores for Manual movement, or hexagonal bores for power-driven applications
- Varying load capacities across the range
- Options for barrel roller materials (Product dependent)
- Can operate as a powered conveyor for transport in the primary direction. Excellent for limited space
- Special metal version obtainable for air cargo handling applications
