Adelaide Oval's Hill of Grace Restaurant will officially open its doors 26 August, offering a true fine dining experience while showcasing the best seasonal produce and premium wine South Australia has to offer.

With the launch of the restaurant comes the unveiling of a menu created by Hill of Grace Restaurant Head Chef Dennis Leslie and the world's only complete set of Henschke Hill of Grace – a priceless collection from 1958 to the current vintage.

Based on a produce-driven, seasonal food philosophy with French, Asian and Australian influences and a strong focus on the use of locally grown, farmed or fished produce, the menu is complemented by a range of more than 160 South Australian wines, headlined by Henschke's acclaimed range from Eden Valley and the Adelaide Hills.

"The fact that Stephen and Prue Henschke have chosen to bestow their internationally-renowned Hill of Grace brand on this restaurant speaks volumes for the quality of what is on offer here," said Adelaide Oval SMA Chairman John Olsen AO.

A venue for sports fans and gastronomes

"Adelaide Oval is the talk of the sporting world and hopefully, very shortly, the Hill of Grace Restaurant will become the talk of gastronomes and connoisseurs around Adelaide and beyond.

"This restaurant is more than a world-class dining experience in a truly unique location.

"It is another important part of the Stadium Management Authority's commitment to ensure that Adelaide Oval is more than just cricket and football."

The Hill of Grace Restaurant is already positioning itself to become one of the State's finest restaurants with hundreds of bookings made since July.

"This is an exciting chapter for our family business, to see the coming together of two unique South Australian icons, both rich in history," said owner and winemaker Stephen Henschke.

Excellent food, wine and location

"It is great to see the restaurant come through from concept to reality. Dennis' food is exquisite, as is the location. I couldn't think of a better place to showcase wines at their peak and our Hill of Grace collection to be shown."

The installation of an Enomatic wine dispenser will offer diners the unique opportunity to purchase a 50ml, 100ml or 150 ml glass of the world-famous Hill of Grace shiraz as well as additional museum and back vintage Henschke wines.

Located within the Audi Stadium Club on level three of the Eastern Stand, the Hill of Grace Restaurant will be open to the public for dinner five nights a week (Tuesday to Saturday) as well as lunch on Fridays.
