Comcater provides an overview on an innovation from which existing customers can also benefit.
The SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first cooking system with five senses as it senses, recognises, thinks with the chef and ahead, learns from a chef and even communicates with him. Four intelligent assistance functions make this possible, which even owners of the previous model can use for free.
Once more Rational has provided innovation, which will significantly improve both the processes and the quality in large and commercial kitchens. The reason for this is that the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is the first cooking system equipped with five senses and which therefore provides a perfect interplay between the chef and his kitchen technology.
Using sophisticated sensors, the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses, Senses the current cooking chamber conditions and the consistency of the food. It recognises the size, load quantity and condition of your products and calculates the appropriate browning by automatically. It thinks ahead by determining the ideal cooking path to the desired result, for example it identifies the ideal Cooking Path in which a product must be cooked. It learns which cooking habits you prefer and implements them. It also communicates with the chef and continually shows him what it is doing to implement his specifications.
"In our SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses there are four intelligent assistance functions that provide the chef with perfect support at all times: iCookingControl, iLevelControl, HiDensity Control and Efficient CareControl. These functions are responsible for enabling the five senses to work," says Mark Sweeting of Rational Australia.
iCookingControl is the heart of the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses. It makes sure that all food is prepared exactly how the chef wants it. All he has to do is set the result. "Depending on his specifications, how large his products are or how many he wants to prepare, iCookingControl adjusts the temperature, cooking time, air speed and the cooking cabinet climate by itself and in the best possible way for the food," says Sweeting.
Another unique aspect is that it communicates with the chef and informs him when it changes settings. In the iCookingControl monitor, it shows him when and even why it makes changes.
"For example, this would be the case if the door stayed open for a moment and iCookingControl had to adjust the cooking time and temperature," says Sweeting.
This enables the chef to always keep an eye on what is happening.
"Cooking becomes an interactive dialogue and this is also the reason for the 'i' in iCookingControl," adds Sweeting.
The fact that the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses is in interaction with the chef is an important aspect of this innovation. It informs him of the decisions it makes by itself. "This is true to the extent that the iCookingControl monitor even shows which settings have been adjusted and why," says Sweeting, “This gives a sense of security and creates trust in modern technology."
With iLevelControl a chef can prepare different dishes at the same time and thus save time, space, energy and costs. Here too, he is in dialogue with his cooking system. He specifies the desired result and iLevelControl implements his specifications. It informs him which settings it is applying and why or when a product is ready. It monitors every rack individually.
Another new aspect is that iLevelControl actively shows the chef which foods he can produce together. If a product is not suitable, iLevelControl will inform him by changing the font colour.
HiDensityControl is responsible for distributing the heat, air and humidity in the cooking cabinet uniformly and intensively at all times. It guarantees the necessary reserve power so the chef can achieve top results every time and for every rack.
The SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency already had this function. It laid the foundation for the cooking quality and performance of the new Rational unit.
"Without the technology and sensors of HiDensityControl, interactive cooking would not be possible," says Sweeting.
Efficient CareControl is the only automatic cleaning system that recognises how dirty the cooking cabinet is, determines the best cleaning step and removes dirt and scale as required. With the introduction of the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses, Rational has optimised the cleaning formula. The rinsing aid tabs of the manufacturer now last 50% longer than before.
Free innovation for all owners of the previous model
Rational would like its customers who already work a SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency to benefit from the innovations of the SelfCookingCenter 5 Senses. They can all now download a free update in ClubRATIONAL at www.club-rational.com and bring their cooking technology up to date.
"For us the customer comes first - including after the purchase. We would therefore like our existing customers to be able to participate in the latest findings of our cooking research," says Sweeting.
This free service is part of a comprehensive service package called "ServicePlus". Every Rational customer will receive this automatically when purchasing a unit and will continue to receive maximum benefit from their investment even years later.
