An impressive 12 Australian hospitality projects have the survived the recent cut of the 2014 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards international shortlist.

With the list reduced to 827 entries, the Australian contingent remains in the race to beat competitors from all over the world. 
 
Australia's top performers in the Bar category are: Brisbane’s Chester Street by Derlot; Sydney's Donny’s by Luchetti Krelle and the Swerve Designed Palate Hotel bar; and Melbourne's The Howler and Mesa Verde by Splinter Society Architecture and Grant Amon Architects.
 
In the Restaurant category seven Australian projects are shortlisted including Alfredo's (Brisbane) by Derlot, Alpha (Sydney), China Republic (Sydney) by DS17, Farmhouse by (Sydney) by Nicholas Gurney,  Nordburger (Adelaide) by Genesin Studio and Peter Jay Deering, Papi Chulo (Sydney) by Akin Creative and Penfolds Magill Estate (Adelaide) by Pascale Gomes-Mcnabb Design.
 
The ceremony will take place in London 25 September at the Old Truman Brewery in London.
