No beef about the high quality of Tasmania's red meat

Seventh generation butcher Kerry Melrose started selling Tasmanian lamb in Queensland through his Melrose Meats wholesale business in 2006.

Now the company sources 1000 lambs a week from Tasmanian producers and Melrose said that could soon increase.

"I believe once the word gets out to the high-quality consuming public of Australia, Tasmania could be under pressure for numbers," he said.
